八達門是朝鮮後期－1794年所建成之水原華城的南門，有四通八達之意。華城的4座城門之中，比起東門和西門，南門與北門是更大更華麗的。用石塊堆疊出彩虹弧度的城門是為了方便皇輿進出所設計，上方城樓為正面5間、側面2間，中間設有門樓。在城樓的四方築有圍牆，朝外形成一個半月形，左右設有防禦臺，是防守城門的重要設施。這樣的設計在首爾城郭的東大門、全州城的豐南門都可以見到，但是八達門的甕城規模更大更突出。另外，八達門與都城的城樓一樣是「隅進閣」的型態，在屋頂裝飾有「雜像」，這都是朝鮮後期的建築代表風格。

位於釜山站對面的中國城有上海街之稱。1884年和中國上海市結成姊妹市的釜山，以華橋學校為中心，並於當年設立了中國領事館，以華橋們眾集於此地而發展起來。整條街上的中國式建築中，又以釜山市和上海市共同建立起的"上海之門"為中心。聚集了許多中式餐廳的中國城，躍然成為韓國及國外饕客們走訪的景點。

1994年6月10日開館的釜山海洋自然史博物館，為韓國第一間也是最大的海洋自然史專業博物館。館內典藏來自世界100多個國家的珍稀種、大型種、韓國特有種等海洋生物，共蒐集並展出25,000多件自然史資料，大多數藏品極其珍貴且具展覽價值，達到國際級水準。博物館也持續擴大規模，第2展示館於2003年4月開館，而分館釜山漁村民俗館也在2007年2月23日正式開幕。 * 博物館展出的海洋生物 * 釜山海洋自然史博物館有各種珍貴展品，如現存貝類中最大的大硨磲貝、現存淡水魚類中最大的象魚、傳說中一個月有一半住在山裡一半住在海裡的皇帶魚、現存魚類中最大的鯨鯊、韓國現有化石中保存最完好的中生代恐龍肩骨化石、南美亞馬遜河的食人魚、硬骨魚類中魚卵被用來製作魚子醬的鱘魚、世界第2大蜥蜴圓鼻巨蜥、擁有粗糙外殼且咬合力強的大鱷龜、世界第3大陸龜蘇卡達象龜等。

人力渡船是行走於束草市區與青湖洞阿爸村之間的唯一交通工具。人力渡船的行駛方式，是以兩股長繩連接兩岸，分別以一條鐵線固定一艘船，再以鐵勾勾住鐵線，利用人力拉動船隻前進。除了老弱者之外，所有人都能嘗試以鐵勾拉船，以來往於青草湖水道。在從朝陽洞進入阿爸村的道路開通前，要往來阿爸村大部分只能依靠人力渡船，自然使此地發展遲緩。人力渡船的「5區渡船場」可謂青湖洞的象徵，盛載了韓戰時由北韓逃到此地的失鄉民的悲痛。如今此地還有許多咸鏡南道北青郡新昌邑的居民在此生活，渡船碼頭入口處還可看到取自北韓咸鏡道地名的店家「北青商會」。銜接束草市區與青湖洞阿爸村的人力渡船，是只有在束草才有的體驗，能帶給遊客不同的樂趣與特別的回憶。 阿爸村人力渡船是能親自用手拉的無動力水上交通工具，不僅帶來體驗的樂趣，從船上還可欣賞到青草湖浦口美麗的漁村景致，偶爾還能聽到搭乘渡船的爺爺奶奶用淳樸而充滿感情的咸鏡道方言說話，讓人彷彿回到海邊的老家，不禁心頭為之一暖。 除此之外，在阿爸村遊覽後，不妨搭乘人力渡船前往束草市區，到中央市場的海產區購買新鮮海產，或到東明港沿著港口欣賞海岸景色，感受束草的魅力。

建築師安藤忠雄精心設計的MUSEUM SAN(舊 韓松博物館)，座落於廣闊且豐饒的自然環境中，由迎賓中心、本館與三個庭園所組成。經過讓人聯想到巨大城郭的迎賓中心後，便進入石竹花盛開的花之庭園，再慢慢往前穿過白樺樹林，就到了水面閃著粼粼波光，讓人一時間睜不開眼的水之庭園，而後走過本館，還可欣賞到由韓國美麗名山獲得靈感的9座石山，以巧思打造而成的石之庭園。 博物館的本館可分為兩個藝廊，分別是可重新發現紙的意義與價值的紙藝廊，以及擁有版畫工房與展出韓國近現代繪畫與雕塑品的青鳥藝廊。而在石之庭園的盡頭處，還有專門展出光線藝術大師詹姆斯‧特瑞爾(James Turrell)作品的詹姆斯‧特瑞爾館，是世界首座能一次欣賞到其藍天空間(Skyspace)、地平線(Horizon)、全域感官(Ganzfeld)與劈裂(Wedgework)等作品的公開展覽館。

水原華城為韓國重要的文化遺產地，亦是世界文化遺產之一，水原華城是以朝鮮的築城技術為基礎，引入中國、日本的築城方式和西方築城技術建造而成的世界城郭之融合結晶。而以華城聞名的水原市為了讓華城更廣為人之，便建立了水原華城博物館。水原華城博物館的常設展覽區，設有展示水原華城的築城過程和城市發展過程的華城築城室，亦有展示參與水原華城築城的人物、正祖(1752~1800,朝鮮第22代王)8日出行的歷史景象，以及曾在華城駐軍的壯勇營等面貌的華城文化室。 另外還有常設體驗室，針對兒童和青少年進行體驗教育，舉行豐富多彩的教育活動。水原華城博物館突破過去以展示遺物為主的博物館運營方式，以展示、教育及體驗相互協調的新博物館型態發展。
