自1996年起，經歷史學家考證後，將朝鮮時期王宮守門將換崗儀式再度重現於大眾眼前。德壽宮大漢門前的王宮守門將換崗儀式，可媲美英國王室的衞兵交接儀式。 這不但真實地呈現出韓國傳統宮中文化，也提供大眾一個體驗王室文化的最佳機會。負責定時開閉宮門、並執行守衛、巡邏等工作的王宮守門將，身穿朝鮮時期官服，進行一天三次的換崗儀式。 於德壽宮大漢門前進行的王宮守門將換崗儀式，絕對是遊客們不可錯過的儀式。有早上11:00~11:30、下午14:00~14:30、15:30~16:00共三次，遊客們可自由選擇適合的時間前往觀賞。王宮守門將換崗儀式屬免費表演，每逢週一或酷暑嚴寒的日子，表演將不克舉行。 王宮守門將換崗儀式舉行時，會先由吹奏傳統樂器的士兵出場，再交換暗號以確定是否為我方守衛軍，接著進行近8分鐘的守衛儀式和7分鐘的換崗儀式，結束儀式之後再讓守門軍回到守門將廳，完成整個換崗儀式。守門將軍隊中計有6個官職、18名將士，在擊鼓的同時以宏亮的聲音進行換崗儀式，過程十分逼真讓人有回到朝鮮時代的錯覺。 韓國傳統宮中文化的王宮守門將換崗儀式，是遊客體驗韓國傳統文化的大好機會。將士們穿著華麗、傳統的朝鮮官服，是拍照留念的絕佳背景。雖然無法和換崗儀式中的將士合照，但以宮門和將士們為背景的照片，也是不錯的選擇。而且在換崗儀式結束後，可以和站在宮門前的守門將進行合照。在觀賞完精采的王宮守門將換崗儀式後，可以直接進入宮廷內，再一次感受韓國傳統文化之美。

朝鮮時代的守門將，為負責駐守興仁之門、崇禮門等都城門與景福宮等國王所生活之宮闕的宮門者。守門將會依既定的程序開關光化門並交接換崗，護衛著當時國家的中心－國王與王室，對國家的安定有一定貢獻。韓國最早確立守門將制度的時期為朝鮮睿宗1年(西元1469年)，在此之前則由中央軍五衛的護軍擔當把守宮闕的重任。 在朝鮮的法宮(國王起居與處理政務之宮闕)景福宮重現的朝鮮時代守門將換崗儀式，以守門將制度完備的15世紀朝鮮時代為背景，致力於將當時護衛宮殿的軍人服飾、武器與各種裝飾品完整重現。本活動將歷史時代最高水準的王室文化再次呈現在眾人眼前，對於傳統文化的教育、觀光旅遊的發展、文化水準的提升皆有所幫助，為持續維持並發展的主要文化事業。

為保護躑躅花群落地，自1997年起在地區居民與在外鄉民的同心協力之下，結合地區文化活動，開始於每年5月在黃梅山郡立公園固定舉辦黃梅山躑躅節。黃梅山的躑躅花美景，也使此地在2012年被CNN選為「韓國必遊景點50選」之一。此外，黃梅山也是電影《太極旗－生死兄弟》、《歡迎來到東莫村》、《情慾對決》，以及電視劇《善德女王》、《馬醫》、《新娘面具》等作品的外景攝影地，使此地成為備受遊客歡迎的景點。

全國最大的向日葵花田和各色各樣美麗的野生花，在向日葵花節都能一起欣賞。江原道太白市黃蓮洞九臥牛村每年都會舉辦向日葵節。活動場地共有300餘種野生花，且總面積超過20萬坪，遊客可以在此盡情拍照玩耍，並參加多種體驗活動。
